View from the office

Well, nearly 5 weeks at AWA now and it’s flown by. This is pretty much the view out of the office window, which I like a lot. Bridgewater Place here is currently the biggest building under construction in Leeds, and it’s pretty much taken shape now. All the floors are in place, there’s just a spike to put on top, a lot of cladding to do, and a hell of a lot of internal fixtures to fit, no doubt.

It’ll be outdone by La Lumiere in the next few years, which is planned for Wellington Street. The council have now approved planning for 2 towers, one around the same height as Bridgewater place and another tower of 57 storeys (BWP is 32 storeys I think). You can see La Lumiere here.

So. That’s about it really. After a super-hot July, August has been shit, cold and wet. Roll on September.
